At Elk Recruitment, we are looking for a driven Project Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s growing team based in Cork. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to make a real impact in an established company.

EXPERIENCE YOU NEED:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyse data effectively.
  • Good attention to detail, with an analytical approach and ability to work using your own initiative.
  • Need to be capable of divergent thinking to allow existing solutions and suppliers to be challenged / reassessed
  • Need to have strong verbal communication skills to ensure effective engagement with both suppliers and internal stakeholders as a means to building longstanding relationships.
  • 5 years’ experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry
  • Knowledge of construction contracts and regulations
Responsibilities
  • Project QS to take full Ownership of Commercial & Procurement process on their own projects.
  • The Commercial & Procurement process for each Project will include but is not limited to Estimating, Contract Review & Negotiation, Supplier & Subcontractor Procurement, Payment Application Process, VO Management, Efficient Materials Ordering, Subcontractor & Supplier Commercial Management, Cost Reporting, Final Account close out.
  • Work closely with all company departments (Design, Operations, Finance, H&S) to ensure efficient Project delivery
  • Adherence to Holden’s Company Values when engaging Internally within Holden & Externally with clients
  • Ensure compliance with Statutory requirements within the jurisdiction of each Project.
  • Assist Holden Estimating Team on the predicted cost of individual items. Liaise closely with the estimator at the tendering stage to ensure that an accurate project cost is provided.
  • Adapt & Adhere to existing processes in order to maximise efficiency within the business
