Richard Utting Associates LLP is a leading Construction Consultancy practice delivering projects across East Anglia and the United Kingdom.

SUMMARY:

Our Cambridge Office continues to grow, with specific growth demand within Industrial, Infrastructure, Healthcare, Education, Residential and Commercial Sectors, where we have successfully secured positions with many leading local and national clients and some key local projects and programs in the industry. As a direct result of this growth, we are currently seeking a full time Project Surveyor with the following requirements.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Project Surveyor will be working alongside an Associate or Partner to successfully lead, manage and deliver various capital projects across East Anglia and nationally under supervision.
The role would cover the whole project life from initial inception and business case development estimates, through the design, procurement and onto the site delivery and commissioning phase.
A Project Surveyor should possess the skills and experience to actively lead and manage more junior staff on projects typically ranging in size from £500k to £40m. However, you will be required to support the delivery of secured projects in excess of these figures. They will help develop collaborative relationships with our clients and other professional colleagues within the industry.
You will have the ability to successfully deliver projects under supervision, leading to further repeat clients commissions and opportunities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Well developed interpersonal and communication skills are key.
  • Ability to develop long term relationships with all team members and effectively balance people and processes.
  • Understands and can demonstrate the importance of Client focus.
  • Strong experience of delivering technically complex projects in the Sectors highlighted above from inception to completion.
  • Good understanding of project Governance and procurement processes.
  • Experience of working in another comparable consultancy environment, or within a client organisation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Professional Qualified – ideally Quantity Surveying Degree or equivalent.
Chartered Status with the RICS or other equivalent institution; MRICS or immanently close to achieving.
Good Understanding of contracts (JCT, NEC etc…)
