We are delighted to be recruiting a Project Researcher in Robot Learning from Human Interactions as part of the EPSRC UK-RAS project, “Principles of Learning from Unstructured Human-Robot Interactions”. You will join a team of researchers from the Universities of Lincoln and Nottingham to contribute to developing the next generation of intelligent machines that can learn from human interactions.
In this role, you’ll be involved in the research process, working closely with a team of experts to explore the principles of robot learning from unstructured human-robot interactions. You’ll apply data analysis techniques, implement and evaluate cutting-edge robot learning algorithms (including Learning from Demonstration and Reinforcement Learning), and contribute to the deployment and testing of solutions on actual robot systems. You’ll also play a vital role in collaborating with researchers across institutions and contributing to the wider research community through seminars, conferences, and publications. It’s a chance to apply your skills, expand your knowledge, and make a real impact in a field that’s shaping the future of technology.
We’re seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual with an MSc (or current enrolment in an MSc program) in a relevant field. You will possess a strong foundation in Machine Learning, AI, and Data Processing/Analysis, you’re a skilled coder with experience in C++/Python and preferably the ROS robotics framework. Most importantly, you’re a team player with excellent communication skills, ready to contribute to a collaborative and innovative research environment.
If you are looking to gain practical experience in the field of ML/AI, Robotics and Human-Robot Interaction, this is an excellent opportunity to work alongside an ambitious team working on real-world solutions to shape the future of service robotics.
For informal inquiries about this exciting opportunity, please contact Dr Francesco Del Duchetto, Lecturer in Robotics and Autonomous Systems, at fdelduchetto@lincoln.ac.uk
