Job Title: Project Management Office Risk Manager Location: Preston/Frimley. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role Salary: £55,000+ dependent on skills and experience What you’ll be doing: Responsible for identifying & assessing project portfolio risks by engagement through project delivery, portfolio delivery leads and Head of departments Leading on collaboration with different departments to develop effective strategies to mitigate project risks which may include creating contingency plans, implementing risk transfer mechanisms or establishing risk avoidance measures Ensuring the organisation complies with relevant laws, regulations and internal policies whilst updating on regulatory changes and conduct regular reviews and audits to assess compliance Responsible for communicating project risk management strategies throughout the organisation through various mediums including training sessions in order to educate employees about potential project risks and the importance of adhering to project risk management policies Be a project risk management champion and play a key role in fostering a culture of risk awareness within the organisation which includes encouraging employees to recognise and report risks thus ensuring risk management practices are integrated into daily operations Your skills and experiences: Essential: Educated to HNC or equivalent, preferably in a related Business, Projects or IM&T discipline Project management qualification: e.g. APM / PMDY, PRINCE2, Scales Agile Framework (SAFe) Proficient in project and programme management with experience in a similar industry Benefits As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts - you may also be eligible for an annual incentive. The Project Management Office (PMO) team As part of this role, you will be a key member of the Project Governance function within PMO, here you will be responsible for conducting portfolio risk assessments, developing strategies for mitigating potential losses, monitoring effectiveness, project risk communication and training.
