Job Summary :
The Project Safety Coordinator conducts on-site safety inspections of buildings, facilities, tools, and equipment to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. Delivers site-specific safety orientations and training tailored to work processes and job hazards. Investigates incidents to identify root causes and contributing factors, providing recommendations and follow-up actions to prevent recurrence. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of OSHA and other applicable safety regulations to support a safe and compliant work environment.

Essential Duties:

  • Performs documented job-site inspections. Completes documented safety observations. Conducts ongoing site condition assessments and addresses hazards appropriately. Reviews safety documents daily.
  • Maintains inventory of safety supplies and equipment, and manages Safety Data Sheets and the onsite chemical inventory at each assigned job site.
  • Conducts site-specific safety orientations for Partners and temporaries. Works with our customers to ensure all site rules and expectations are met or exceeded. Trains Partners on safety procedures, processes, and rules.
  • Conducts site-specific safety orientations and training for Partners and temporaries.
  • Performs incident investigations for all incidents and near misses. Monitors worker’s compensation case management at the job site. Communicates to the appropriate personnel, in a timely manner, any hazards, incidents, etc. that may affect the safety of the job site or Partners. Interacts with regulatory agencies such as OSHA, local officials, etc.
  • Works with the site leaders to plan adequately for upcoming scope of work. Helps identify and develop policies and procedures for continuous aggressive improvement. Creates agendas for weekly safety meetings and facilitates those topics to the site team.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Business Administration or related field is preferred.
  • Construction Health and Safety Technician Certification (CHST) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) is preferred.
  • Ideal candidates may have 2-5 years of relevant experience, but we also welcome applications from those with varying levels of experience.
  • Proficiency in using technology such as computers and complex testing equipment.
  • Solid understanding of specific safety standards and government regulations.
  • Ability to use problem-solving skills to find solutions to unsafe working conditions and environmental concerns.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Detail oriented.
