Recently, Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Metro Park, NJ.
The client for this project is the NYS Office of General Services (OGS).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure job sites are complying with OSHA and NYS safety standards
  • Prepare accident safety reports, record/maintain record of employee OSHA and other safety certifications, maintain various AED devices throughout the region
  • Ensuring they are inspected or replaced as necessary, prepare safety presentations
  • Preparation and monitoring of the project safety program, conducting inspections, making verbal and written recommendations, conducting regular safety meetings, andfollowing through to assure correction as required on the part of the CM.
  • Research additional safety /continuing education opportunities for staff.
  • Duties may also include the preparation/review of accident reports, investigation of any serious construction accidents, and preparation/review of other accident reports.
  • Review site specific safety plans.
  • Travel required throughout the region.

Qualifications

The Project Safety Manager shall possess:

  • Minimum 4 years of project safety experience
  • Familiar with applicable local, state, OSHA rules, regulations, and safety standards
  • Must have all necessary safety training certifications
  • OSHA 30 required

EXACT COMPENSATION WILL BE DETERMINED ON THE INDIVIDUAL CANDIDATES’ QUALIFICATIONS AND LOCATION.
