Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future. Downer Professional Services comprises of three business units our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice, and Team Downer, which partners with CASG and NSSG as a major service provider to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for clients across Defence and National Security. We currently have an opportunity for a Project SChduler, based in Canberra to work with the JP9347 Joint Data Networks sub program. What You’ll Do This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including: Develop, manage, and maintain the Project Integrated Master Schedule for JP9347 in collaboration with project managers and schedulers. Lead or participate in scheduling workshops, including resourcing, resource levelling, and dependency analysis. Monitor and update schedule progress through consultation with team leads and key stakeholders. Identify scheduling issues, analyse impacts, and recommend remediation actions to support project delivery. Produce key scheduling artefacts such as Master Schedules, Work Breakdown Structures, WBS Dictionaries, and schedule performance reports What You’ll Bring Proven experience in schedule management, including methodologies and tools (ideally Open Plan Professional). Background developing schedules for large acquisition projects across multiple lifecycle stages. Understanding of Defence acquisition environments and project frameworks (Defence project experience highly desirable). Knowledge of Project Controls and their practical application in complex programs Relevant schedule management accreditation (Open Plan Professional qualification essential; additional project-related qualifications highly desirable). Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
