Job Description Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to support scheduling and project controls for large-scale rail infrastructure projects. The role requires a deep understanding of construction scheduling, project planning, and controls, with a focus on transportation, rail, and heavy civil sectors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering schedule management services on complex capital programs, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. *This is a hybrid opportunity, 3 day work in-office is required. Responsibilities: Develop, monitor, and update the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for large-scale rail infrastructure projects. Establish and manage schedule control programs, tools, and deliverables. Facilitate planning sessions with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to define tasks, durations, and resource needs. Prepare baseline schedules and schedule basis documents for approval. Perform resource loading, leveling, and schedule integration across multiple contractors. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure alignment with project policies and procedures. Track contractor progress and assess impacts to critical and near-critical paths. Conduct time impact and delay analyses; recommend corrective actions. Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques to measure project performance. Monitor schedule deviations and variances; develop mitigation strategies. Evaluate schedule reliability and identify risks affecting project delivery. Prepare and present schedule progress reports, forecasts, and trend analyses. Maintain liaison with clients, consultants, and internal teams throughout all project stages. Review and provide feedback on contractor and consultant schedules. Coordinate with operating agency staff to ensure timely approvals and resource availability. Proactively identify scheduling risks and implement mitigation strategies. Resolve design and construction issues impacting schedule performance. Review and negotiate change orders related to scope, schedule, and cost. SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Controls, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in project scheduling and controls, preferably on large-scale infrastructure or capital projects. Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, with experience in developing and analyzing detailed CPM schedules. Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and schedule integration techniques. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI for reporting and data visualization. Experience in transportation, rail, or heavy civil construction is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex schedule data to diverse audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented and proactive.
