Full job description Job Title: Project Scheduler Company: Southwest Electric Contracting Services, LTD. Location: Childress, TX (On-site) Job Summary Southwest Electric is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to support a long-term project at our Childress, Texas job site. The Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing a fully resource-loaded project schedule, ensuring accurate tracking of progress, identifying potential risks or delays, and clearly communicating findings to project stakeholders. This role requires strong proficiency in Microsoft Project and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment. Key Responsibilities Develop a resource-loaded project schedule from scratch using Microsoft Project Maintain, update, and monitor project schedules throughout the life of the project Track progress against baseline schedules and identify trends, risks, or problem areas Perform schedule analysis and forecasting to support project decision-making Communicate schedule status, risks, and recovery plans clearly with project management and stakeholders Coordinate with field supervision, engineering, and management teams to ensure accurate schedule inputs Support schedule updates for changes, delays, and scope adjustments Assist with reporting and documentation related to schedule performance Required Qualifications Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project (required) Proven experience building and maintaining complex, resource-loaded schedules Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to identify trends, impacts, and potential schedule conflicts early Excellent communication skills with the ability to present schedule data clearly Ability to work on-site in Childress, TX Preferred Qualifications Electrical construction or electrical project experience (strongly preferred) Experience supporting large-scale or industrial construction projects Compensation Overview Potential per diem and bonus compensation is based on total hours and days worked throughout the year. Per Diem: $54,750 Bonus: $8,112 Projected Annual Earnings (78 hours/week): $211,848 – $262,288 Estimated Total Compensation Package: $274,710 – $325,150 This compensation range is based on a 78-hour workweek and may vary depending on experience, overtime eligibility, and business needs.
