From its headquarters in St. Louis, MO, and multiple branch offices throughout the U.S., Trileaf serves the wireless communications, commercial real estate and financial industries. Location: Kansas City Metro area (FULLY REMOTE) Job Summary:  Trileaf is seeking a full-time, field Project Scientist with at 0-5 years of field experience conducting environmental due diligence work on commercial real estate and/or telecom projects, to include Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I ESAs) and Phase II ESAs. This position will be remote & based in the Kansas City metro Area (will consider Kansas City MO/KS and Topeka KS areas). Essential Job Functions: * Travel to project location, take detailed notes and photographs of site (2-3 days per week) * Conducting interviews, in person, via email, and phone  * Ordering & analyzing government database records * Performing regulatory agency file reviews * Reviewing historical data (including topographic maps, Sanborn fire insurance maps, city directories, and aerial photographs)  * Drafting of a standardized report using information from these various sources  * Perform QA/QC to the satisfaction of both management and clients  * Completing requested revisions & submitting report within pre-established timelines * Conducting field work to collect samples of potentially contaminated subsurface media (soil, groundwater, and soil vapor) and/or indoor air * Compare analytical contaminant data collected to applicable regulatory standards  Basic Qualifications: To be considered, the resume of the applicant must demonstrate the following qualifications/skills: * Attention to detail * Strong work ethic * Valid driver license * Capable of field work * Ability and willingness to travel (travel not expected to exceed 2-3 days at a time) * Good computer skills * Independent worker  * Commitment to excellence * Phase I Assessments * NEPA Assessments Preferred Qualifications / Experience: * 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification * Licensed Asbestos Inspector * Management * Mold assessment experience * Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ASTM E1903) * Property Condition Assessments (ASTM E2018) * Transaction Screen Assessments (ASTM E1528) * Record Search with Risk Assessments (SBA SOP 50 10 6) * Environmental Professional (EP) Education:  Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Environmental Science, Geology, Geography or related fields The listed salary range for this position is an expected range.
