Are you passionate about supporting young adults with learning disabilities to transition into meaningful employment?
Calderdale College is seeking an inspiring and motivated Project SEARCH Course Leader to coordinate a life-changing programme based at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic transition-to-work programme for young adults with learning disabilities. The successful candidate will deliver the DFN Project SEARCH curriculum, integrating Maths and English, while working closely with interns, families, employers, and other stakeholders to ensure positive outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordination: Develop and manage work placements within the host business to enhance interns’ employability.
  • Teaching and Support: Deliver lessons, job coaching, and individualised training to meet the needs of each intern.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with families, employers, and external agencies to personalise employment plans.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track and evaluate interns’ achievements, setting clear goals and supporting transitions into paid employment.
