Description:
Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Impact Manager to join our Melton Hospital team. Initially based in the CBD site office, the role will transition to site as the project mobilises.
Your role as the Social Impact Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery and reporting of Social Procurement Framework, Building Equality Policy and Local Jobs First outcomes and associated initiatives. This will involve day-to-day interface with the project’s leadership team, other team members, subcontractors and external organisations.
Within the Melton Hospital project, your role is to drive strategy and its implementation to realise and exceed the ambitious aspirations for social value on the project. You will be required to develop the tender stage plan, implement this through procurement and delivery, monitor progress and update progressively. The plan will capture identified opportunities and strategies to achieve targets that relates to social and local procurement, training, skilling and workforce outcomes.
Further, you will –
- Actively engage with key project stakeholders including project engineers, commercial team, subcontractors and suppliers to realise workforce participation and social procurement opportunities. The ability to build close working relationships across the team is critical to the success of the role.
- Take overall responsibility for government policy reporting including managing the timely and accurate collection and validation of monthly subcontractor reports and engaging with a social procurement data analyst who will collate and provide insights
- Generate a range of client and internal reports
- Provide training, support and guidance to project team and subcontractors
- Develop case studies, lessons learnt and good news stories to enhance knowledge sharing across the function and business
- Plan and deliver activities that align with objectives of the Lendlease Elevate Reconciliation Action Plan and promote First Nations participation in the workforce and supply chain
Requirements:
- Experience working on major construction projects and a thorough understanding of how construction teams, subcontractors and suppliers work
- Experience of Victorian Government Policy objectives in a similar role within the construction, rail or civil industry
- Excellent planning and strategy skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong organisation and administration skills
