Description
The Project Specialist works directly with the various Con Edison and/or Orange & Rockland operating organizations (Electric, Gas, Steam, Substations, or S&TO) and various other support groups to enhance their emergency management processes through preparedness, planning and coordination of company resources during emergencies and subsequent response and recovery efforts. The Project Specialists primary function is to develop and conduct exercises, perform evaluations for both exercises and operational related emergencies, as well as coordinate external agency support to help ensure the companies emergency preparedness efforts. Emergency Preparedness Specialists are expected to work as, or support, on-call staff during company emergencies and fulfill an emergency role, as required by his/her designated System Emergency Assignment.
