Based in Plano, TX, with regional offices in Austin, San Antonio, and Houston, the company specializes in the multi-family, industrial, commercial, and education markets. Preconstruction Working with preconstruction and marketing teams, play a key role in the preparation of project proposals, evaluating bid tabs, conducting QA/QC constructability reviews, and developing preliminary project schedules. Project Controls Complete understanding of individual subcontract agreements. Review daily reports for accuracy. Manage site SWPPP. Review monthly owner billing. Track and maintain subcontractor insurance certificates. Responsible for management of General Conditions . Prepare for OAC meetings Conduct weekly subcontractor coordination meetings. Facilitate weekly CMC project team meetings. Schedule Management Develop and maintain project schedules. Manage day-to-day activities to meet project milestones and ultimately meet or beat project completion date. Monitor and report on project progress. Quality Management Ensure work conforms with drawings and specifications and project team adheres to prime contract requirements. Participate in project kick-off meeting. Advocate for quality and adherence to the company’s QA/QC Program. Safety Participate in the development of site-specific safety plans. Champion a culture of safety throughout the project by driving compliance of our Safety Program. Conduct site safety audits and weekly safety meetings. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years’ experience in construction management. Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, and safety regulations. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents. Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite. OSHA 30 required. Physical requirements: must be able to traverse long distances, traverse uneven, unfinished ground surfaces, ascend/descend stairs and ladders, work on upper floor levels, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in outdoor weather conditions. Additional Qualities to Thrive in This Role Ability to foster strong relationships with local subcontractor market, design team, owner, and internal customers. Ability to mentor and train on-site field staff. Excellent problem-solving skills, flexible and adaptable to change, and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Preference for varied tasks. Comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment. Needs to make decisive, quick decisions within a pre-defined span of control, adhering to accepted quality standards, policies, and procedures. Leads according to specialty or expertise. Will act with conviction to ensure quality standards, rarely delegating. When delegation is required, follow up will be close. Other Things to Know: Full-time, in-person role at assigned jobsite.
