QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong market knowledge of major infrastructure and building packages.
  • Experience in subcontract procurement and negotiation.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret financial data, with strong decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks without compromising on quality and standards.
  • Experience working in construction with sound knowledge of industry practices and standards.

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Project Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic supply chain initiatives that align with Morgan Sindall’s vision. You will support both bid and project teams by implementing strategies that deliver optimal results. This role requires an individual who is both proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage tasks independently and take accountability for the performance of a small team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain robust supply chain relationships to support project delivery.
  • Implement project-specific supply chain strategies that align with Morgan Sindall’s overall supply chain vision.
  • Support bid teams in assessing supply chain risks and opportunities, advising on scope reductions, and evaluating fixed price allowances.
  • Oversee and manage procurement processes, ensuring compliance with safety, ethical, and sustainable procurement strategies.
  • Lead the evaluation and conditioning of supply chain prices to optimize project outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement through regular supply chain performance reviews and forums.
  • Provide commercial and legal support in drafting and negotiating contracts, ensuring clarity in roles and obligations.
  • Support project handovers and ensure seamless communication of procurement and supply chain strategies to site teams.
