Job Description We are seeking a skilled Project Support Engineer to join our team and support the delivery of capital works projects across our Australian sites. This role plays a key part in the successful installation, coordination, and governance of plant and equipment upgrades, and is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a hands‑on, fast‑paced project environment. A significant element of this role involves close collaboration with suppliers and equipment buying partners in China. Your key responsibilities will be to: Supervising and coordinating the installation of plant and equipment on site. Managing contractors to ensure work is completed on schedule and to required standards. Leading all project‑related safety requirements, including inductions, permits, SWMS checks and compliance follow‑up. Managing minor projects end‑to‑end, including scope development, financial tracking and presenting Capital Expense Requests. Monitoring budgets and project expenditures, ensuring invoices are accurate and paid on time. Maintaining accurate project documentation, meeting minutes and project management tools. Liaising with our China‑based equipment buying agent and OEM suppliers. Your skills and experience To be successful in this role, you’ll have: Native‑level Mandarin language proficiency (spoken & written) — a non‑negotiable requirement. Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related discipline). 1–2 years’ experience in a similar engineering or project support role. Strong organisational skills Attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
