We are seeking an experienced Project Support Officer to work in a small team to implement digital and data transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will be part of the Markets Data Improvement Programme and is responsible for supporting the coordination and reporting of this multi-year programme focused on digital and data transformation.
As a Project Support Officer, you will have experience in project and programme management, along with a pragmatic approach that maintains a balance between governance and rigour while balancing the needs of key stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include supporting the effective operation of the PMO function, aiding in project and programme governance arrangements and assisting in the review and revision of the current Project Management Framework and templates. You will also provide support to projects as needed, evaluate PMO tools and techniques to facilitate positive changes in the PMO function’s operation and maintain the resource schedule for all projects. It will be your responsibility to ensure everything is up-to-date and functioning smoothly.
Starting in this role, you will be in charge of establishing PMO standards and creating processes to improve how we work. You will play a crucial role in supporting important projects which will include planning meetings and taking detailed minutes to ensure projects move forward smoothly.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Working within the Markets Data Improvement Programme alongside a wide range of stakeholders in the Markets Directorate-General, you will be responsible for supporting the monitoring, coordination and reporting on this multi-year programme focused on digital and data transformation.

You will work within a small team of staff who are responsible for:

  • Leading on the implementation of digital and data transformation initiatives
  • Ensuring proper governance is implemented & adhered to

The role requires knowledge of best practices in the operation of a Programme Management Office.
This role will require a collaborative approach in working with colleagues both within and outside the Markets Directorate-General. The right candidate will have project and programme management experience, and a pragmatic approach that balances the need for governance and rigor, while not over-burdening the stakeholders.
