Description

We are looking for a Project Support who will support our Director of Services in the day to day running of the charity and organisation of inclusive events and groups for our beneficiaries.

The key responsibilities and tasks are:

  • Events support and organisation.
  • Connecting and supporting members in person and online.
  • Supporting members with a range of complex and diverse needs.
  • Networking with other charitable organisations

The role will include:

  • Event planning
  • Support with function set ups and turnarounds.
  • Supporting with feedback
  • Supporting with compliance
  • Providing evidence for funders.
  • Completing any training necessary to the role.
  • Any additional duties that the charity requires

The following are requirements for the role:

  • Full UK Driving license and use of your own car is required for this role (mileage will be reimbursed).
  • High standards of communication, discretion, confidentiality and diplomacy.
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends

The following are desirable skills and experience:

  • Experience (paid or voluntary) working in a charitable organisation
  • Experience working with children and/or vulnerable adults
  • Personal experience with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus

You will gain experience in:

  • Working with people with complex and diverse needs
  • Working with the Fundraising Coordinator to provide evidence and plan future funding
  • Maintaining our support forums and online presence
  • Working in a small team

You will be part of a small committed and passionate team based in our office in Hillsborough, Sheffield. Remote working is available by arrangement, as long as you are able to come into our office and to in-person events when required. Full training will be provided in the specifics of the role. There will be a probationary period of 3 months.
