RMA Group is seeking a full-time Project Support Staff Engineer to join our Rancho Cordova, CA team. At RMA Group, you can look forward to working on a wide variety of interesting projects both in the field and in the office.
As a Project Support Staff Engineer at RMA Group, you will support lead geotechnical engineers and field staff to successfully complete large projects in ways that satisfy clients and minimize risks. The position, salary, and level of responsibilities assigned to the individual will be based on the experience level of the candidate.
Under the supervision of an engineer or project manager, you will be expected to:
· Perform engineering analyses including but not limited to settlement, seepage, slope stability, lateral load resistance, deep foundation analyses, soil-structure interaction, seismic deformation, and site-specific seismic hazard analyses.
· Periodically observe geotechnical construction activities.
· Assist project managers and the engineering team in reviewing geotechnical and special inspection daily field reports.
· QA/QC of drawings, calculations, and reports.
· Manage daily reports
· Data entry
· Reporting

POSITION SKILLS:

• Experience with Microsoft Suite, Adobe
• Highly Organized
• Detail Oriented
• Ability to follow instructions and see a task through to completion
• Unafraid to ask questions in order to understand the process

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

The following minimum requirements apply to this position.
· Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
· Excellent writing and communication skills.
· Hold a valid driving license with a good standing driving record.
· The employee occasionally is required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and to walk up to ½ mile daily.
