Salary range: Grade 12 (£50,085 - £52,194 p.a.) plus fantastic benefits Contract: Permanent  Hours of work: 36 hours per week  Location: Croydon   Croydon Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Property Surveyor to join our ambitious housing acquisition programme. This is a vital role contributing directly to our efforts to increase the supply of affordable housing across the borough by acquiring and bringing street properties back into use.   About the Role As a Property Surveyor within our Acquisitions Team, you will play a key role in the assessment, inspection, and preparation of properties being considered for purchase. You will be responsible for: * Conducting pre-sale surveys of potential acquisitions to identify condition and suitability. * Preparing costed schedules of works required to bring properties up to lettable standards. * Working with colleagues and contractors to oversee void works post-acquisition, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. * Providing technical advice on property condition, refurbishment requirements, and compliance with housing standards. * Supporting the council’s strategic goals of increasing housing supply and reducing temporary accommodation pressures.   About You We're looking for a surveyor who is: * Professionally qualified or experienced in residential property surveying, preferably with a background in housing or public sector work. * Skilled in identifying and costing refurbishment and repair works. * Confident managing property inspections and contractor liaison. * Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities. * A team player who shares our commitment to delivering quality housing outcomes for Croydon residents.   To view the PROJECT SURVEYOR role profile please Click here [https://drive.google.com/file/d/1oYDDEWZ-WmRXTFz_dVDjMrXR7j8b4jLN/view?usp=drive_link].
