PROJECT TEAM MANAGER | 8132 | PERMANENT CONTRACT | 37 HOURS PER WEEK | £55,147 TO £60,676 PER ANNUM | GRADE M | NORWICH
We are pleased to be able to offer an opportunity for a role as Design Team Manager within the Better Parking Strategy Team at County Hall in Norwich (hybrid remote working).
We are seeking a Design Team Manager, experienced in delivering parking infrastructure projects with sound knowledge of Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) to ensure the delivery of the programme of parking related projects across Norfolk.
Working with the Better Parking Strategy Manager, you will oversee the design team to deliver a range of TRO based projects. With a focus on process improvements and partnership working, this is a key role to support the delivery of high-profile parking improvements and highway safety schemes across the county.
You will ensure that appropriate solutions are delivered in consultation with local members and stakeholders. You will be confident when negotiating in difficult situations and have experience of working in a political environment in a front facing role. You will have excellent contractual awareness and experience with the ability to build successful relationships.
You will have extensive design and highways maintenance experience (over 10 years) and will preferably be either a Chartered or Incorporated Highway/Civil Engineer. You will have a successful track record of managing technical teams and delivering programmes to time and budget. Experience of budget management and generating operational efficiencies will also be advantageous.
As well as being part of the County Council’s Better Parking Strategy Team, you will also work closely with our current professional services consultant, WSP, our legal teams and key stakeholders to ensure that the project teams are adequately resourced and working to the highest standards.
