We are currently looking for a new member for the Licensing & Urban Planning team to join us in the position of Project Technician, Licensing & Urban Planning.
Working Place: Sonae Sierra’s Central Offices in Lisbon

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Organisation of digital files (e.g. SharePoint, OneDrive, network folders)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Support the team of project managers in the Licensing and Urban Planning department with the submission of urban planning applications to Local Councils, as well as licences related to economic activities and specific operations within shopping centres. This role involves preparing the necessary administrative documentation for submission and monitoring procedures throughout their progression. It also ensures operational efficiency and accuracy in document management, as well as effective use of public authority digital platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Submission and follow-up of urban planning applications via Local Council platforms, as the primary responsibility of the role.
  • Submission of other administrative applications via electronic platforms, including:
  • Licensing of events within shopping centres
  • Requests for commercial authorisations (via Local Councils and iGOV)
  • Licensing of events and traffic restrictions
  • Requests for access to municipal archives
  • Licensing of industrial effluents
  • Licensing and renewal of amusement machine permits
  • Permits for bird deterrence
  • Management of mandatory inspections and emergency drills (e.g., lifting equipment)
  • Requests for regular inspections via eGOV
  • Monitoring of submitted applications:
  • Communication with Local Councils and other authorities for updates and clarifications
  • Logging of deadlines, responses, and notifications
  • Document management:
  • Organisation and digital archiving of applications, in line with defined criteria
  • Maintenance of folder structures and naming conventions
  • Ensuring traceability and integrity of documentation
  • Platform and operational task management:
  • Registration with and onboarding to new platforms required for the role
  • Calendar management (entry and updating of deadlines in Outlook)
  • Requesting invoices and supporting payment processing, where applicable
