RJS Construction Ltd. is a general contractor servicing Institutional, Commercial, and light industrial clients in the Lower Mainland.

We are looking to hire a Project Tenant Coordinator/ Project Coordinator to join the on-site team on a BC Housing, tenanted, renovation project in the lower Mainland.

Basic duties/skills:

  • Have experience in working with small to medium general construction projects
  • Have a minimum of 1 year experience in the construction industry as a Project Coordinator with experience in all areas of construction in B.C.
  • Good understanding of procedures, methods, conditions, and documents related to the complete building process in B.C. including CO’s, RFI’s, PO’s, etc.
  • Can read and interpret scopes of work, contract documents, drawings, schedules, and specifications.
  • Be a proactive problem-solver with strong organizational skills.
  • Can communicate and collaborate well with all levels of our business.
  • Is adaptable to change, can manage multiple jobs and a variety of work.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Excel, and Teams
  • Have an aptitude for numeracy and accuracy.
  • The ability to learn new programs, as well as our office methodology and associated tools.
  • Procore experience required.
  • Primary liaison/coordinator between the client, the property residents, the Society, the consultant and the RJS construction site team.
  • Correspondence in professional and timely manner; calls, emails, notices, etc.
  • Attend all project related meetings and schedule information meetings.
  • Maintain file records such as actions of complaints and concerns and logs of notices.
  • Creating tenant access schedules and corresponding with all tenants, and construction personnel on the schedule
  • Help with unit preparation which could include lifting and moving furniture and items of the residents’ possessions.

  • Can work professionally and patiently with clients and residents and people with disabilities.
  • Is a proactive problem-solver with strong organizational skills.
  • Is willing to apply and be able to receive a government clearance letter to work with children and vulnerable adults.
  • Is adaptable to change, can manage multiple jobs and a variety of work.
  • Has good typing and computer skills including Microsoft Office and Word.
  • Is proficient in professional written correspondence.
  • Has an aptitude for learning new software programs, office methodology and associated tools.

** A Criminal Record Check will be required of the successful candidate to verify the absence of a criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted. Any offers extended to the successful candidate will be contingent on satisfactory results of the clearance check.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $27.00-$32.00 per hour
