To Learn More Visit: http://www.geosyntec.com/careers/. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage regulatory compliance and environmental oversight of NPDES and water use permitting. Manage green infrastructure planning and funding. Assess impacts of legislation and regulatory changes related to water resources and stormwater management; develop compliance guidance. Manage water rights planning and research in California. Interact with client representatives. Direct multi-disciplinary project teams. Task and project management, including oversight of key services areas such as water resource and stormwater planning, funding pursuits, environmental programs, and regulatory advisement. Lead climate resiliency assessments of facilities and operations; identify vulnerabilities and recommend adaptation strategies. Task and project-level responsibility for scoping, performing, managing and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments. Consistent with our sell-manage-do business model, play a role supporting lead generation, business development, staff development, and mentoring. Help broaden our reputation via publishing and visibility at prominent industry conferences. Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed. Education and Licensure Bachelor's degree in environmental science, biology, natural resources, or other related degree. (required) Advanced degree in the same. (preferred) Skills, Experience and Qualifications At least 7 years of direct environmental permitting & planning experience, preferably in the California marketplace; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. (required) Experience in managing permitting, planning, compliance, and environmental oversight of stormwater, groundwater, and surface water projects. (required) Experience in water supply, water conservation, and analyses pertaining to local and imported water supply, groundwater banking, and demand management. (required) Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required) Excellent writing and communication skills. (required) Field work and overnight travel may be required. Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required. Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified location(s) below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec’s total compensation package for employees. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.
