Description

Providing high support accommodation, with options for tailored, specialist provision; onsite activity and multiagency support, this service will be a genuine place of opportunity. You will be part of a team, tasked with developing, shaping and evaluating the service to meet the unique needs and aspirations of clients, including those who are actively using substances, have a dual diagnosis or mental health conditions or have experienced multiple exclusions from services.
We work closely with the local authority with the aim of ending the need to sleep rough or use insecure or temporary accommodation. We offer a personalised approach to work with people to manage risk and reduce associated harm from substance use and multiple exclusion. This accommodation will provide a vital opportunity to each individual, to provide a path away from homelessness.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity for resilient, skilled, highly motivated individuals to join our service, Roffey Place in Horsham – the first of its size and scope in the area and with the advantage of substantial grounds and communal areas.
There are few public transport links to the project, therefore it is a requirement that you have a full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle, or alternative transport arrangements.

Responsibilities
  • You have a compassionate, person-centred approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting individuals facing housing insecurity.
  • Experienced in working with vulnerable populations, including those affected by homelessness, trauma, substance use, or mental health challenges.
  • Strong communicator, able to engage effectively with clients, colleagues, and external partners to advocate for and support residents’ needs.
  • Proficient in creating and managing personalized support plans, and skilled in documentation and record-keeping.
  • Knowledgeable in trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches, with a commitment to promoting change and independence.
  • Resilient and adaptable, capable of maintaining calm in challenging situations and de-escalating conflicts with empathy.
  • Willing and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to ensure continuous support for residents.
