COME WORK AS A PROJECT CONTROLLER AT WAGENINGEN MARINE RESEARCH (WMR) IN IJMUIDEN/DEN HELDER!

In this challenging role as project controller, you will be responsible for the financial management of various projects. You support (complex) projects from the acquisition phase to the financial closeout. You are the financial expert who makes an important contribution to assessing budgets. You are the sharp eye that monitors the progress and forecasts of projects against the project budget and subsidy conditions, identifying risks and keeping a close watch on them.
In addition to your financial expertise, you are also a reliable sparring partner for project leaders and department heads. You ensure proper and complete project files. You work independently and also closely with our colleagues from F&C and the Acquisition Support Team.
WMR has an annual turnover of approximately €30 million. Thanks to your professional knowledge, you make a valuable contribution to the further professionalization of our Finance & Control department.
In short, you ensure that all projects run smoothly from a financial perspective.

You will be a good addition to our team if you:

  • have a higher professional education (HBO+) level of working and thinking in business economics, accountancy, or a similar financial study;
  • preferably have a few years of relevant work experience within a (project) organization;
  • are strong analytically, work carefully, structured, and result-oriented;
  • are willing to develop yourself;
  • use your communication skills to build a bridge between project leaders and F&C;
  • have good command of both spoken and written Dutch and English;
  • want to work both independently and in a team.
