Job Summary Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the financial reporting team, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and disclosures. Essential Functions -Supervise and mentor a team of financial reporting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. -Delegate tasks, set priorities, and ensure workloads are effectively managed within the team. -Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to accounting standards (GAAP or IFRS). -Assist team members with complex accounting and reporting issues. -Lead the month-end and quarter-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis. -Ensure deadlines are met and financial reporting activities are conducted in a timely manner. Qualifications Education Associate's Degree Finance required Bachelor's Degree Finance preferred Experience 3-5 years required experience in financial reporting, accounting, or related roles. 1-2 years required experience in a supervisory or leadership role. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. - Proficiency in financial systems and software, as well as advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other analysis tools. - Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey financial information clearly and concisely. - Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment. - Knowledge of regulatory compliance and experience with external audits is advantageous.
