Description:

The Hodson Bay Group has an exciting and new opportunity for a dynamic Projects Lead & Interior Design Manager to join our team and to oversee projects from inception to completion. This role combines the creative aspects of interior design with the strategic and logistical skills of project management.
With four 4* properties throughout Ireland, we are continuously maintaining and enhancing our product offering for our guests. Each property has multiple outlets that require ongoing refurbishments and upgrades, spanning full refits to minor refurbishments.
Working on a large variety of refurbishment projects across the group hotels, the ideal candidate will be involved in all aspects of the project process including design concepts, specification, tendering, contracting, procurement, budget management, and implementation.
The role has the opportunity to lead the direction of interior design development in the properties as well as interfacing with contracted design firms for larger projects.

Reporting to the Operations and Facilities Directors the successful candidate will work closely with Hotel Directors and maintenance teams to efficiently manage the planning, delivery, and monitoring of multiple projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Managing procurement budgets (mainly FF&E & OS&E) for Development and Capital Expenditure projects
    Delivery of multiple fast paced property investment programmes

    Specifying interior design schemes or preparing the scope of works for external contractors/designers

  • Scheduling timelines and project programmes

  • Controlling the tender specification process through to contractor or supplier nomination
  • Budgeting
  • Quote reviews
  • Purchase order issuing
  • Compile and issue meeting minutes
  • Compile snag lists and handover documentation
  • Coordinating with each property facilities team to ensure all ongoing maintenance processes are implemented post-project handover
  • Schedule and monitor payments and delivery deadlines
  • Manage preferred vendors list to improve the procurement process
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to Project Directors and Maintenance teams
  • Assisting with incoming and outgoing project documentation
  • Assisting with managing relationships with agents and project stakeholders
  • Any other duties that may be assigned by your manager

REQUIREMENTS

Exceptional administrative & IT Administrative skills require
Experience in facilities, property, fitout and interiors admin advantageous
Proven experience working across IA & FF&E projects from concept to completion
High quality portfolio of previous work
Have a strong competence working with Word, PowerPoint & Excel
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Have a pro-active, positive, can-do attitude
Can work within a team and individually
Ability to work across multiple ongoing projects at different timelines
Strong organisational skills
Can learn new skills in our changing work environment
Excellent attention to detail
Manage deadlines and effectively handle multiple tasks
Strong Project Management experience including defining scope, preparing and managing project budgets
Ability to lead and successfully work within cross functional teams
Full clean driver’s license
