QUALIFICATIONS

  • Study of comparable qualifications, at least a Bachelor’s degree or at least a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or at least a Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering
  • Several years of experience in managing and processing highly complex and time-critical projects required
  • Experience/knowledge in leading interdisciplinary project teams
  • Experience in planning and industrializing products required
  • IT: MS Office, at least detailed specialist knowledge
  • Language skills: at least business-fluent German, at least business-fluent English

Responsibilities

The focus will be on ensuring the industrial manufacturing capability of the digital vision devices currently under development.
The “Combat Vehicles” department is responsible for preparing offers and for carrying out customer projects from the planning phase through development to series production.
In addition, new products are defined and existing products are further developed within the framework of product responsibility and product strategy.

Your tasks:

  • Development and implementation of the content and conceptual preparatory work as well as its documentation for the industrialization of the vision systems for combat vehicles, e.g. requesting and carrying out concept comparisons and evaluations, S-, D- and P-FMEA
  • Coordination of production-related development tasks as a central interface between development, production and the supply chain.
  • Development and creation of production and logistics requirements
  • Ensuring a product design that is suitable for production and maintenance
  • Creation of production concepts with increasing levels of detail during the product development phase
  • Development of optimization potential through product, process and work design
  • Evaluation of design alternatives and product variants with regard to manufacturability and impact on planned production processes
  • Replanning or adaptation of production value streams parallel to product development, e.g. make or buy decisions
  • Development and coordination of production flow plans with quality controls and preparation of their introduction
  • Coordination of the definition of requirements for initial samples and coordination of series start-up with supplier quality management
  • Support in the selection of series suppliers
  • Monitoring of the developing manufacturing costs and optimization of these in connection with the monitoring of costs for development/production/material
  • Integration of lean expertise to design efficient processes
  • Presentation and discussion of the planning results with relevant stakeholders Series readiness, series start-up planning and transfer of products to the Series production (including optimization of the existing product)
