4. REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALITIES

  • At least 7 years’ protection experience at international level including designing, managing and leading coordinated protection strategies, analyses and responses.
  • At least 3 years of experience with protection monitoring.
  • At least 3 years’ experience with people management.
  • Previous experience in managing / coordinating initiatives involving several international and national stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in coordination with high level humanitarian and political fora.
  • Knowledge of project cycle management.
  • Understanding of supply chain management and procurement processes.
  • Knowledge of budget cycle and monitoring processes.
  • Knowledge of code of conduct principles and the HR systems for performance management.
  • Knowledge of key donor policies and compliance procedures.
  • Full professional proficiency in Spanish and English.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
  • Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment.
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Being a team-player.
Responsibilities

2. PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Under the supervision of ProLAC Initiative’s Steering Committee, the ProLAC Consortium Manager will lead the ProLAC Initiative, providing coordinated and strategic leadership for the implementation and further development. This includes being responsible for strategy development, coordination with partners and duty-bearers, planning and implementation, supervising advocacy efforts, external relations, and fundraising. The ProLAC Consortium Manager will also manage the ProLAC team composed of one international staff and five national staff.
Geographical scope: This role has a multi-country focus on Latin America and the Caribbean, and it must ensure compliance to DRC and donors’ procedures and guidelines within the scope of implementation.
