Are you a motivated, customer-focused individual looking to start your career in inside sales? R.E. Michel Company, a leading wholesale distributor of HVAC and refrigeration equipment, parts, and supplies, is seeking an Inside Sales Associate to join our team!
As an Inside Sales Associate, you’ll be the friendly face (and voice) our customers count on. From answering calls and processing orders to maintaining a clean, safe workplace, your role is essential to our daily branch operations. You’ll be working closely with our team, supporting customer needs, and learning all about our extensive product offerings.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with key parts of a propane system such as tanks, regulators, valves, fittings, hoses, and connectors
  • Understanding the types of appliances that use propane (e.g., furnaces, water heaters, space heaters, ranges) and how they function within residential settings
  • Comfortable with propane-related terms and product names to assist customers in selecting compatible parts and equipment
  • Basic math and computer skills (experience with Prophet 21 and MS Office is a plus
  • Ability to read invoices, stock numbers, and identify correct product
Responsibilities
  • Deliver outstanding customer service—greet, assist, and process customer orders in person and by phone.
  • Generate invoices and other documents using our computer system.
  • Unload orders to stock warehouse and assist with inventory checks.
  • Accurately handle cash, credit card payments, returns, and warranties.
