Propane Driver is responsible for the loading, transporting, and delivery of propane to clients within a designated region. This position will allow driver to be home at night. Prerequisites: CDL Class B or A, tanker and hazmat endorsements Provide 10 Year Work History CORE RESPONSIBILITIES include: Loading of Propane Truck– Retrieve dispatch instructions; ensure authorization for loading at all terminals; validate correct supplier when initiating the load sequence; validate correct brand and loading volume selection prior to loading; initiate actual loading; and, retrieve bill of lading and verify accuracy prior to departure. Transportation of Fuel – Observe all speed limits and DOT rules; refrain from unauthorized cell phone usage, texting and smoking during travel; and, demonstrate patience and personal control during transportation process. Delivery of Fuel – Verify location by address prior to initiating delivery process. Class of Equipment – Bobtail Note: This company participates in the E-verify program. This positions is subject to a 90 day introductory period. This introductory period is designed, primarily, to give both the Company and the employee an opportunity to determine whether the employee will be able to adequately perform in the assigned job position. At the end of the introductory period, your performance will be reviewed and a decision made regarding your continued employment or any extended introductory period. All employees are hired as temporary employees until their introductory period has elapsed. Temporary employees are not eligible for any benefits during the introductory period. Requirements REQUIREMENTS include- High School Diploma or GED; able to pass a criminal background check, DOT drug screen, DOT employment verification, 7 Year MVR and DOT Physical; able to lift and or move up to 50 pounds frequently, and able to lift and or move up to 85 pounds occasionally; excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; CLASS B with HazMat endorsement.
