Property Accountant Who: An accounting professional with 1–2 years of corporate accounting experience, preferably in residential property management. Position Overview: The Property Accountant will support the accounting function by managing AR and GL processes, performing reconciliations, and providing financial insights for a portfolio of multifamily properties. This role reports directly to the Accounting Manager. Key Responsibilities: Verify accuracy of lease and accounting data entered into Yardi. Review delinquency reports and collaborate with managers to maximize collections. Perform monthly bank reconciliations. Post month-end close journal entries. Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures. Provide insights on property performance during monthly reviews. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. 1–2 years of corporate accounting experience. Property management or residential real estate accounting experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with Yardi or similar property management software preferred. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
