They are seeking a Property Accounting Manager to join their expanding accounting team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing a designated team of property accountants while ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, brings strong leadership skills, and has a solid background in real estate accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Property Accountants
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for assigned properties
• Review property-level financial statements, variance analyses, and supporting schedules
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and client reporting requirements
• Partner with property management, leasing, and asset management teams to provide financial insight and support business decisions
• Streamline and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and external auditors

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role
• Prior real estate or property management accounting experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Yardi or similar property management/accounting software is a plus
