Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by compiling information, preparing profit and loss statements, and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures. Responsibilities 1. Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements utilizing GAAP accounting principles.2. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.3. Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.4. Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.5. Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.6. Analyze revenue and expenditure trends, recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control.7. Resolve accounting discrepancies and suggest solutions for financial problems.8. Recommend, develop, and maintain financial databases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems.9. Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for automated financial systems.10. Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.11. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Experience: 1 to 3 years within an accounting/bookkeeping environment. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including GAAP. Required Education/Training: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Must successfully complete all required courses, classes, and training provided by MMS. Required Skills and Abilities: Must be able to work as part of a team, as well as complete assignments independently. Must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Must be able to perform duties under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner. Display the ability to think critically and suggest solutions for financial problems. Must have the ability to work in automated computer platforms. Must display strong ability to work within MS Office packages, specifically MS Excel and Word. Must prioritize and manage daily workload to ensure successful completion. Take instructions from supervisors. Interact with co-workers, supervisors, and vendors in a professional and pleasant manner. Must have excellent written communication skills. Must pass background investigation and drug test screening. Working Conditions: Must be able to work 40 hours per week to include evenings, weekend, and holidays when necessary tomeet required deadlines. Salary Range Information: The range displayed on each job posting reflects the targeted base salary for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
