WHAT THIS JOB INVOLVES:

JLL is seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented individual to join our Property Management Team for an expanding retail portfolio in the thriving Vancouver market. As Property Administrator you will support the Property Manager in managing three diverse shopping complexes, including a vibrant open-air centre. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings by efficiently handling tenant inquiries and providing exceptional administrative support. We will rely on your level-headedness and professional demeanor to handle sensitive and urgent requests. You will also work closely with the Property Manager to prepare financial packages, manage account receivables and payables and process invoices in Yardi.

This requires a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle. You will be reimbursed for mileage.
What your day-to-day will look like:Property Accounting:
Process accounts payable and receivable for assigned retail properties
Reconcile monthly tenant charges and prepare tenant statements
Track and process CAM, tax, and insurance reconciliations
Monitor tenant accounts for delinquencies and assist with collections
Prepare monthly financial reports and variance analyses
Maintain accurate property financial records and documentation
Process and code vendor invoices
Assist with annual budget preparation

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

2+ years of experience in commercial property administration, or with similar financial background and an interest in a Real Estate career path.
Driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
Good working knowledge of MS Office applications
Good interpersonal, communication and team skills.
Strong aptitude for servicing tenants with the ability to see both the customer’s perspective and the impact on the organization.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet changing demands and expectations of clients.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

University or College degree preferred or working towards a degree
Accounting/financial background preferred.
Yardi, Procore experience is an asset
