JOB SUMMARY

The Property Administrator plays a key role in the efficient management of commercial and/or residential properties. This position is responsible for overseeing administrative functions, lease management, tenant relations, financial transactions and reporting and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in property management operations.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Education: Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3years of experience in property administration, leasing, or property management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in property management software (e.g. Rent Manager or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of lease agreements, Tenancy board, and property operations.
  • Key Competencies:
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for tenant and stakeholder interactions.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.

Responsibilities

FINANCIAL & REPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with rent collection, monitor accounts receivable, and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Prepare financial reports, including unit vacancy and turnover, work orders, utility consumption, insurance, expenses and other operating budgets and variance reports
  • Work with accounting teams to reconcile financial records and lease-related charges.
