The Property & Business Services Manager is responsible for the management of the company’s Property Portfolio of leased and freehold properties, optimising the retail store network footprint in Australia and facilitate store growth across all channels..
In partnership with Retail Operations and EHS, ensure that buildings, fleet and plant and equipment are maintained and safe for customers and associates in line with GDT’s policies and standards

EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to develop positive relationships with stakeholders and customers.
  • Management and leadership experience
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with landlords, Solicitors, Agents and multiple stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience in responsibilities for leasing of commercial and retail space.
  • Experience in the negotiation, preparation, examination, interpretation and administration of lease agreements.
  • Ability to prepare, monitor budgets and reports.
  • Demonstrated tenant/supplier experience in property management
  • Coordination and monitoring of facilities and maintenance requirements.
  • Demonstrated capability in negotiation/enforcement of agreements.
  • Demonstrated financial awareness.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Strong business acumen with a commercially orientated approach.
  • Demonstrated landlord/supplier experience in property management.
  • Strong leadership skills and characteristics including:
  • Commercially oriented approach.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service focus [external and internal].
  • Strong computer skills – MS Office [including Excel, Word and Power Point]

EDUCATION:

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as property development/business/sales/management or commerce

Responsibilities:

To oversee and manage the property and support service functions that are provided to the leasing team including processing of creditor invoices, reconciliation of tenant accounts, conducting adjustment of accounts, producing letters for tenants, and providing assistance to Leasing Manager and Coordinator.

  • Preparation and administration of leases for approx. 200 properties across Australia, as well as implementing and maintaining systems to track lease expirations, fleet maintenance and plant and equipment servicing.
