ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client, a well-established property management group based in Edmonton, is seeking a driven and licensed Property Broker to lead its property operations. The organization provides full-service management for residential, commercial, and condominium properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, expanding the property portfolio, and managing client relationships with professionalism and integrity.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Property Broker will be responsible for overseeing real estate brokerage activities, managing and mentoring property management staff, expanding our managed property portfolio, and ensuring adherence to the Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA) regulations. This role requires a strong leader with deep industry knowledge, exceptional client relationship skills, and proven ability to manage both people and assets effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must hold a valid Real Estate Broker Licence in Alberta (RECA).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in property management or real estate, with at least 2 years in a leadership or broker role.
  • Strong knowledge of residential, commercial, and condominium property management practices.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow and retain a property portfolio.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the licensed broker of record for the company, ensuring compliance with RECA and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Lead, mentor, and support the property management team to achieve operational excellence.
  • Oversee leasing, tenant relations, and property marketing strategies to maintain high occupancy levels.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with property owners, tenants, vendors, and industry partners.
  • Monitor and review all property management contracts and leasing agreements.
  • Drive business development by identifying and securing new property management opportunities.
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, financial reports, and operational performance metrics.
  • Ensure timely resolution of tenant issues, maintenance concerns, and owner requests.
  • Stay informed on market trends, legislative changes, and industry best practices.
