Position Summary: The Property & Casualty Insurance Agent – Commercial Lines is responsible for selling and servicing commercial insurance products while building long-term client relationships. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work remotely and, in the office, with a focus on consultative selling, prospecting, retention, and collaboration with internal teams. The role combines client-facing impact with strategic business development across the Tampa Bay market. Key Responsibilities: Sales & Client Acquisition * Advise, quote, and sell commercial property & casualty insurance policies. * Analyze business operations and risk exposure to develop tailored insurance solutions. * Meet monthly sales quotas by following established agency processes. * Prospect for new business through community involvement and outreach to Achieva Credit Union members. * Build and maintain strong relationships with policyholders, prospects, and referral sources. Client Service & Policy Management * Manage policy expirations, renewals, and retention efforts. * Collaborate with internal team members to support renewals and resolve service-related issues. * Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and carrier requirements. * Stay current on industry trends, product knowledge, and regulatory changes. Systems & Reporting * Utilize agency management and CRM tools (e.g., AgencyZoom, EZLYNX) to track activities and client interactions. * Maintain accurate documentation of sales efforts, policy information, and renewal workflows. * Participate in incentive and recognition programs tied to performance metrics. Education and Experience * Active Florida 2-20 Property & Casualty license required. * 5+ years of commercial lines experience strongly preferred. * Must have a valid Florida driver’s license and pass a background check. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and risk assessment practices. * Proven consultative sales skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships. * Familiarity with agency management systems and CRM tools. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven. * Ability to multitask and operate effectively in a hybrid team environment.
