Reporting to the Director of Operations, the successful candidate will provide administrative support and on-site assistance to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of HIG owned and managed properties. You will manage vendor information and contracts, coordinate property maintenance, update tenant files, and assist in the preparation and tracking of annual budgets and reports as required. A strong communicator, you will prepare correspondence and distribute tenant letters as necessary and assist in resolving tenant issues including reviewing and interpreting tenant leases. We’re seeking someone who thrives on organization, flexibility, and can use initiative to solve problems and implement solutions while working in a “hands on” company environment. You must be able to manage multiple tasks and duties while meeting deadlines in a consistent manner.

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Commercial Real Estate experience, preferably as a Property Administrator
  • Strong organizational and prioritizing abilities with a keen attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Proven customer service and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook, experience with Yardi, an asset
  • Problem-solving abilities to address tenant and maintenance concerns
  • Entry level knowledge of property management laws and regulations
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This position is new to the organization and requires a great deal of ownership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people
  • Proficiency in tracking and monitoring financial reports, budgets and ledgers
  • Have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle, and the willingness to travel to sites on a regular basis
