Responsibilities

BAI Communications is an infrastructure owner with a large property portfolio of freehold land. BAI Communications has a land divestment program with assets that are surplus to operational requirements and have been identified for disposal. The Property Development Manager will manage the land and regulatory aspects of the land divestment program to ensure a timely completion of regulatory approvals process to achieve a completed sale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent BAI Communications to internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage day-to-day responsibilities of development projects such as overseeing consultants, authorities, budgets and programs
  • Extensive project management experience in development projects ranging in complexity, with varied stakeholders and working to tight deadlines
  • Preparing detailed feasibility analyses for new projects
  • Ensuring that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained from local authorities. This includes navigating planning laws, building codes, and environmental regulations.
  • Prepare reports and applications for regulatory approvals and where necessary conduct discussions with authorities in a timely manner to facilitate optimal speed to completion outcomes.
  • Assist with all phases of the development cycle from project definition though to delivery
  • External stakeholders include Landlords, Commercial Broadcasters & Telecommunications Carriers, Government Authorities as well as solicitors, consultants and property valuers; Local Councils, state and federal Government Departments, Ministers, and from time-to-time other regulatory bodies; Potential buyers, tenants and / or their agents
  • Provide support to the Head of Property as required.
  • Travel to Victoria and Western Australia four times per annum
