Responsibilities
  • Attend loss locations in person, complete comprehensive scope and onsite estimate of damages
  • Complete timely and thorough claim assessment following loss inspection. Secure and/or file all supporting documentation and verify same for accuracy and completeness
  • Establish accurate and timely reserves
  • Exercise sound judgment in reaching final disposition of claim by evaluating nature of loss, damages, coverage provided and applicable limits
  • Seek technical assistance in handling claims exceeding delegated authority
  • Adhere to company best practices and meet or exceed compliance expectations
  • Meet and sustain file disposition metrics on a monthly basis
  • Exceptional communicate with Internal and External stakeholders
  • Effectively control the use, work product and expenses of outside vendors
  • Recognize recovery opportunities where applicable
  • Identify and elevate claims where indicators of suspicious activity are present
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in managing moderate to high complexity property claims or equivalent experience
  • Exceptional customer service and broker relationship skills
  • High level of initiative and desire to learn
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, bilingualism in French would be an asset
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to make independent decisions
  • Willingness to travel to service Chubb Clients outside of region in the event of a CAT
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
