Job Description - Property inspector

  • Salary: £11.44
  • Reporting directly to Maintenance management
  • own transport required - Valid driving license
  • Hours: Monday - Friday 9.00 am – 5:00 pm (1-hour lunch break).

QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE:

  • Relevant qualifications and certifications in property inspection, building surveying, construction, or related disciplines.
  • Solid understanding of building structures, systems, materials, and construction methods.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately assess property conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for producing clear and concise reports and interacting with clients.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and software for documentation and reporting.
  • Familiarity with property-related Current government regulations
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule to accommodate property inspections.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule and conduct on-site inspections of properties. Thoroughly examine the interior, exterior, structural components, systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.), and overall condition of the property.
  • Identify and document any existing or potential issues, defects, maintenance requirements, and safety hazards.
  • Compile comprehensive reports detailing inspection findings, including descriptions, photographs, measurements, and diagrams.
  • Clearly explain identified issues and provide recommendations for remediation or improvements.
  • Prepare accurate and well-organized inspection reports that are easily understandable for Maintenance management.
  • Ensure that property inspections are conducted by relevant current government regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes in local, regional, and national property-related regulations that impact inspections and reporting.
  • Offer guidance and suggestions for addressing identified issues and improving property conditions.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and professionalism in all aspects of property inspection.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure the consistency and reliability of inspection processes and reports.
