Property Maintenance Person
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to maintain the exterior areas of our Resort with a particular emphasis on our Self-catering properties, ensuring they are clean, tidy, and welcoming for our guests’ arrival. The successful candidate will take pride in presenting our outdoor spaces in optimal condition. Responsibilities will include tidying patios, maintaining garden borders, weeding, cleaning gutters, washing windows, and ensuring pathways are clear and inviting, along with performing general tidying throughout the outside of the properties. Your efforts will play a vital role in creating a pleasant environment for our guests. The role will largely involve cleaning windows and maintaining areas around the main hotel and self-catering properties around our 72-acre site. During periods of poor weather, duties will revert to inside areas to conduct duties such as carpet cleaning and cleaning windows internally.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Ensure that Safe Working Practices are adhered to, in accordance with Health and Safety Legislation and Tregenna Castle Resorts Health and Safety Policy.
2. Uphold and embrace Tregenna Castle Resorts vision and values by working in partnership with internal colleagues, external clients and other stakeholders to deliver an efficient and effective service.
3. Treat all individuals with dignity and respect and support Tregenna Castle Resorts Equality and Diversity Policy.
4. Drive vehicles where necessary and conduct pre-start vehicle, plant/machinery checks on a daily basis, reporting any faults immediately and refuel vehicles and plant as required.
5. Carry out the clearing and cleaning of building gutters and down pipes, which will include removing loose and impacted debris, sweeping, vacuum and washing affected areas. Bag and remove debris from the site.
6. Carry out the cleaning of flat roofs working at height.
7. Carry out the cleaning of internal and external glass as directed by each buildings’ window cleaning schedule, ensure windowsills and frames are wiped clean and any water spills are made safe.
8. Use approved cleaning agents only and in accordance with instructions.
9. Use plant and machinery as directed and in accordance with training and manufacturer’s instructions.
10. Wear/utilise all Personal Protective Equipment supplied.
11. Ensure work is undertaken with the minimum of disruption to building users.
12. Undertake all movement of vehicles, plant and equipment strictly in accordance with methods statements and risk assessments.
13. Deal with any complaints or adverse client reports by undertaking remedial work wherever possible. Inform Supervisor of the complaint, the action taken to resolve it and any further action required.
14. Demonstrate good energy conservation by switching out all lights and ensuring taps are off wherever possible on completion of your duties.
15. Ensure that the appropriate documentation is completed correctly and forwarded to management as required, which will include time sheets, quality control information, material request forms etc.
Minimum of 1 years’ experience in cleaning is essential.
Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
Prioritisation and time management skills.
Working quickly without compromising quality.
Knowledge of English language is required.
Full driving license and access to own vehicle is required.
