Position Summary The Property Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in keeping Kualoa Ranch’s operations and facilities functioning safely and efficiently. This hands-on position supports the upkeep and improvement of both residential and commercial structures across the property. Working as part of a collaborative maintenance team, this role assists with repairs, builds, and general maintenance tasks that help preserve the beauty, functionality, and integrity of Kualoa’s lands and assets. Key Responsibilities Provide support and assistance to Lead Property Maintenance Technicians and other team members. Perform general repairs and maintenance, including carpentry, construction, and renovation work. Clean and prepare job sites; load and unload materials and equipment. Assist Leads in framing, masonry, plastering, roofing, and other construction tasks as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring proper care and storage of tools and equipment. Follow all safety procedures and report potential hazards or maintenance issues promptly. Minimum Qualifications 1+ years of experience in general construction, carpentry, or a related field. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong carpentry and/or home renovation experience (priority). Experience handling power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and construction equipment safely. Valid Hawaiʻi driver’s license with a clean driving record. Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Plumbing and electrical experience a plus. Preferred Qualifications Experience working on large properties, estates, or ranch environments. Familiarity with both residential and commercial building systems. Ability to interpret and execute work orders, blueprints, or basic plans. Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety. Knowledge of sustainable building practices or repair methods that align with Kualoa’s environmental values. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. Comfortable standing, bending, and performing physical labor for extended periods. Ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions such as heat, rain, and wind.
