Langier Real Estate Developments currently oversees a diverse portfolio of retail, industrial multifamily, townhouse and single family projects.
We are looking for a Licensed Property Manager for various Properties in our Edmonton portfolio.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Licensed to practice real estate and property management in Alberta.
  • Must have good understanding of the English language. This includes both written and verbal communication skills;
  • Knowledge of business, budgeting, real estate, construction/carpentry, building systems and/or building maintenance would be an asset;
  • Highly organized with excellent problem solving and customer service skills;
  • Presentation and sales skills are necessary to market suites to prospective Residents;
  • Comfortable with basic accounting principles, handling cash;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel); Yardi proficiency also would be an asset
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance. Property Managers represent Langier Real Estate to our Residents and prospective Residents;
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment where mutual support is essential;
  • Ability to work a varied schedule including evenings and weekends;
  • Must be a Resident of Canada or possess the appropriate documentation to legally work in Canada. All documentation must be current.
    · This position may require travel between sites; a valid class 5 driver’s license and satisfactory driving record and access to transportation will be required.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of managing a portfolio of single family and apartment rental properties
  • Manage the leasing process of vacant units, lease execution and tenant move ins/outs.
  • Coordinate pleasant tenant experience and ensure all maintenance is handled professionally, bills are paid and rent is collected
  • Oversee monthly property reporting to ownership alongside our accounting department
  • Manage the rental process for Residents, which includes all the required paper work for the rental of suites, parking and/or storage lockers;
  • Answers telephone inquiries and emails regarding all Properties. Must become familiar with all physical aspects of an available suite (how many sq. ft., location, conditions, etc.), all aspects of the suite rental process (deposit, number of people, pets etc.), and the building amenities available;
  • Treat applicants and Residents with courtesy and respect, and manage any problems or concerns as they arise;
  • Maintain a log book of daily activities
  • Become familiar with the fire alarm system, elevator, and emergency generators
  • Caution Residents regarding complaints about excessive noise, disorderly conduct, or misuse of property;
  • Performs any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Assist Langier Developments in other related Real Estate business activities in regards to renovations, new construction and commercial real estate.
