Position: Maintenance Manager
Job Summary: The Maintenance Manager oversees and manages maintenance projects across McDonald Companies’ properties, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in building maintenance and groundskeeping
  • Experience with HVAC, fire sprinkler systems, electrical, general construction, etc.
  • Ability to effectively perform and manage all listed job responsibilities
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Must be able to track and report time spent on tasks
  • Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and accessing all required work areas (e.g., climbing ladders, kneeling, crouching)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to stand for more than 60% of the time
  • Frequently required to bend, stoop, crawl, crouch or crawl in order to perform required property maintenance
  • Frequently required to use hands and arms to steer and to finger controls and adjust controls as needed on all equipment needed to perform the job
  • Frequently required to lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs, occasionally lift and/or move objects that weight more than 100 lbs.
  • Frequently required to work outside in all types of weather.
  • Occasionally required to ascend/descend a ladder
  • Must be able to see proficiently in order to operate any power or hand tools
  • Must be able to read a computer screen, work orders, memos, and emails and any other property service-related documents
  • Must be able to speak in order to convey information to customers
  • Must be able to hear directions provided by customers or other employees
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff and external contractors to ensure timely and high-quality task completion.
  • Become a dedicated leader invested in the development of the maintenance team.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime and extend asset lifespans.
  • Oversee and manage repairs and installations for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other critical building systems.
  • Monitor and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to financial targets.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Apply strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to resolve maintenance challenges quickly and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Lead sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives to reduce environmental impact and optimize utility costs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
