Responsibilities:

  • Provide proposal support to stakeholders across multiple service lines. This is a primary function of this role. You will evaluate proposal support requests, provide recommendations on win themes and strategy and execute on service-level protocol (from proofreading/formatting to full production management). Importantly, you will ensure responses and other formal procurements are compliant. Additionally, you will:
    • Identify proposal opportunities available in the market

  • Solicit and monitor the support of teammates/SMEs across service lines to complete the proposal build with comprehensive input from stakeholders

  • Manage RFP, RFQ, EOI and other sales related document requests from partners and principals across Canada.
  • Develop proposal processes and tools and communicate these processes. This may include:
  • Developing bid/ no-bid criteria
  • Defining proposal support levels for different requests
  • RFP intake tool
  • Contribute to the hub, or content library, refreshed content and templates for partners to access when full proposal support is not able to be provided
  • Regularly conduct market and competitive research to develop highly relevant content
  • Have an intimate understanding of Doane Grant Thornton style, copywriting and design guidelines. You will serve as an exemplary writer and designer, consistent with these guidelines. You will often be asked to review others’ work for brand compliance with branding and business strategy.
  • Utilize SharePoint, InDesign/Photoshop and Microsoft Suite to create brand-consistent and compelling proposals
  • Proofread/ edit/ format a variety of external and internal documents and presentations for quality and correctness, using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe InDesign. In some cases, you will be required to perform these tasks under tight timelines, requiring high proficiency in these applications.
  • Consistently use and build out Microsoft Dynamics CRM and SharePoint-based proposal center to perform all related activities. You will promote user adoption and build on best practices developed in other business units.
  • Write and design proposal content, presentations and other pursuit documents as required. This part of the role allows you to really showcase your creative and persuasive writing skills.
  • Bring new ideas for content and design creation using your writing skills and eye for design.
  • Remain knowledgeable of firm marketing initiatives, especially major announcements, content creation, and events.
  • Work collaboratively, with an eye toward timelines, to ensure project management deliverables are compiled.
  • Build out timelines for proposal contributions and ensure components are delivered.
  • Triage requests and identify solutions for competing priorities.
  • Build rapport with stakeholders to develop future strategy and generate buy-in on the proposal process.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and maintaining personal networks. Think outside of the box (e.g., how content marketing best practices can be incorporated in proposal writing).
  • Provide efficiency tips (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Adobe) to teammates to help them be more productive.
  • Seek to continuously improve quality and efficiency in everything you do.
