JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Technical Writer will be responsible for supporting writing objectives and initiatives supporting Commercial, State, Local, and Federal clients. The Technical Writer should be an accomplished “self-starter” with the ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines. The Technical Writer is required to assist with the writing, development, and production of business development materials to primarily include Technical Approach and Management Approach sections within proposal responses.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Administration, or English, Professional/Technical Writing etc.
· Minimally three (3) years of experience in technical writing
· Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, -(grammar/spelling/punctuation)
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Word (formatting and styles)
· Strong time management and organizational skills
· Team Player and accomplished “self-starter”
· Must be able to work effectively under time constraints in a dynamic environment, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Responsibilities

· Write initial drafts (technical writing) to Market Research Responses and ensure responses are complete of requested information and submitted on time.
· Writes, reviews, edits, sections for technical proposals and assists in overall proposal production.
· Attend, document, and transcribe Subject Matter Experts (SME) Introductions/debriefing meetings.
· Read Solicitation and be prepared to discuss with the Team for strategy, storyboarding, and solutioning.
· Serve as the scribe for working group sessions and proposal meetings, recording status and action items, and distributing the information to the attendees in a timely manner following the meeting.
· Assists in creating action item templates. Transfer completed information to proposals.
· Participate in team reviews and edits.
· Perform desktop publishing in MS Word, and other tools (i.e., Adobe Acrobat) to ensure documents are properly formatted, compliant with RFP requirements, easy to read, and visually appealing.
· Adhere to style guide and reinforce that proposal team authors adhere to all such style guides
· Assists in creating tables, charts, and graphics for inclusion within proposal.
· Other duties as assigned.
